An all original true vintage Strat. You already know this is a beast of a guitar, I bought this from a professional Musician in New York and he swore that this was the nicest strat hes owned. (Has two 60's 335's so didnt need it anymore.) I myself have owned many different 79's and this is also my favorite one because the Neck was reshaped into a v-neck profile and resprayed with nitro. I just did a fret level on this bad boy and the neck was dead straight and the frets are perfectly level, no buzzing with 3mm action at the twelth fret. Hot pickups, amazing natural relic and 8.5 pounds, this is the trifecta of strats. Theres some kind of magic when you play and loved and played old strat. The closet queens i've owned just didnt have that magical feel and extra harmonic sound. If you don't know what a v-shape is, the neck has ridges that slope to a v and it is the most comfortable and amazing feeling playing experience . The strats in the 50's (55-57) had a v shape.
Condition: Excellent all original condition, tons of natural wear and a beautiful nitro spray on the neck that is smooth. Evidence of previous tuners installed under original f logo tuners. Dead straight neck, level frets, perfect action and intonation.
Electronics: All original electronics, pickups date to '79 with pots from 78'. These pickups sounds awesome and are perfect for the clean Stevie Rayvaugh tone. Nothing sounds more like an old strat than and old strat.
