TL:DR All original, 1 owner strat w/ original hard shell case. Untouched electronics and super unique grains. Excellent condition with only one or two tiny dings making it not mint. Spot on Setup with our Gilded Treatment!
All original Fender Strat from '81 with a gorgeous natural grain with the original case and has only had one owner! It's got thin poly on the neck not goopy and thick like some of them, real vintage feeling and not sticky. This baby is in excellent condition with an awesome piece of ash. This is one of those "good ones" that came out of the frugal CBS era, no shift in the neck pocket and great tuning stability, one of those 1 in 3 guitars since CBS is so hit or miss. The 7.5 inch radius is a classic feel and gives awesome playability and really allows the most comfortable chording. The neck is a medium C shape (0.80" at 1st, 0.90" at 12th) that feels super comfy with a barely any amount of shoulder. Definitely gives you that comfy thumb over the neck hendrix thing. The pickups are super thick and meaty, pair really well with a bassy amp, they have a pleasant warmth on the low end and highs are very straty but not too shrill. The bridge pickup is extremely hot with a high output and sound unqiue versus other 70's strats i've played. The guitar acoustically is very bright and has a lightweight and bell like openness to it when strummed. Definitely still underestimated, these late 70's strats are still coming from the legendary fullerton factory and definitely have tons of magic yet at a great price. This is still the iconic strat that changed the guitar world forever and does not break the bank like the earlier strats.
Condition: Almost mint condition, you cant find like one or two little swirly dings the size of a pin if you look close, the neck has some wear around the place your fingers rap around on the edges of the maple fingerboard. No breaks or cracks. Neck is straight, no truss rod or neck pocket issues, setup perfectly with nice action and intonation, frets are in really good condition lots of life left. Unoriginal Nut.
Electronics:
All original pickups and pots that date to 80', solder joints are untouched perfect which definitely contribute to the powerful output of these single coils. (neck 5.73k)(middle 5.78k)(bridge 7.37k) Volumes and tones role 0-10 exponentially and theres no grounding or hum issues. Super Punchy and meaty pickups and bridge is super high output.
