Fender 25th Anniversary Stratocaster 1979 Silver Metallic
Fender 25th Anniversary Stratocaster 1979 Silver Metallic
TL:DR 100% Original 25th anniversary strat with original case and Certificate, strap, and trem bar. VG condition with a couple marks.
Absolute unit of a strat right here. The Fender 25th anniversary strat is one of the many good things that came out of the 70's. Finally fender came to their wits and added a 4-bolt for this model and its awesome, fully stable and you never have to worry about it. This thing is a monster. Its 10lbs full of sustain and sounds like a glass bell. The dehydrated alder that makes of up the body has lost its moisture and really resonates and holds onto each note. The Body has a handful of marks but from a distance looks basically brand new. Its silver metallic finish has aged to a greener hue over time and looks really cool not to mention the black anniversary logo on the top left horn makes it feel like a sports car. This thing can rip, its got the original circuit and electronics and really sounds wide open when you put it through a good amp. The best thing about this strat is it just sounds and plays better than other strats from that era. Its just a good feeling to pick this up and theres really nothing bad to say about an original vintage strat. I think these are pretty underrated in the sense that they should be and will be valued more for their quality.
When you pick this strat up you will notice it's literally got a perfect neck that looks brand new. Its got a perfect round "C" shape neck (0.86" at the 1st, 0.88" at the 12th) that fits your hand like a glove made out of a bright and snappy slab of maple. By some miracle the original frets have tons of life and are not beat up at all. The playability is quite impressive. This neck is perfectly straight with no hump, twists or any type of distortion. Its got original small vintage frets that are perfectly level and allow for maximum playability. Overall, these 25th anni's pay homage to where great electric guitars really began with the invention of the strat and this one sounds and plays amazing. If you're looking for a cool looking vintage strat that doesnt break the bank but literally is a vintage strat this is for you. Neck pickup, amp cranked, you're chilling.
