TL:DR All Original except bridge pickup (Seymour Duncan Antiquity II (great pickup)). Original finish, only anomaly is two circular paint touchups visible south of the bridge. Perfectly functioning, no breaks, cracks, or issues, and is one hell of a player tele. Real fat neck.

All original (except bridge pickup) Fender Telecaster Custom from '78 in a sleek black finish with an keith vibe to it. This piece is awesome because its been played and loved so much but has retained almost all of its originality along the way and has developed tons of character to show for it. The best part about pieces like this is they are played in for you, the wear on the neck has basically morphed to the human hand and feels great. You can also abuse them as much as you want and it only adds to its character and doesn't necessarily reduce their value as opposed to a mint piece. This tele is an absolute machine, its got a thick U shape neck made out a thick slab maple that feels really great and fills out your hand completely, allowing you to really "go at" the neck. The maple also attributes to that bright and snappy tone. The pickups are unreal, the original vintage wide range Seth lover neck pickup is like a dark horse, its smooth and silky with this spooky dark characteristic to it that just sounds so bassy and warm. On the flipside, the bridge pickup is a super twangy and snappy classic pickup made by Seymour Duncan. Its a quintessential reproduction of 60's teles sounds and absolutely nails it, great pickup and really fun to mess around on. The best part is combining both of these sounds, you get this really dark low and mid range with a super bright and snappy top end that really changes how you hear and play guitar. Definitely a cool sound to add to your arsenal and will enjoy another beating for another 50 years. Thanks for looking

This piece has been fully setup with our "Gilded Treatment." This means instrument has been fully inspected, professionally photographed and documented along will a full deep cleaning of any residual grime and dust, pots are cleaned of debris and sprayed with contact cleaner to add a layer of cleaning and protection. Its amazing how clean pots and contacts bring so much tone back. Polished frets to allow you to "glide" over the fretboard. Dialed Nut Height with optimal slots and contact points with lubrication. Action and intonation is dead on and neck relief is perfect. The neck has absolutely no warps or humps and the truss rod turns perfectly with tons of room to turn for seasonal changes. Thank you for looking

You'll be shocked to find how good our pro setup is! A 100$ value free! big bends fretting out is a thing of the past, find out for yourself!

Condition: This tele has got all original parts except for the Bridge pickup. The frets are original and have about 50% life left (~0.35" fret height) The nut is original but has been shimmed. The neck has a few dings on the back but are barely felt, the fretboad has play wear around the edges and feels worn in and 'vintage'. Theres a small chip at the top of the peg head pictured. Theres some lacquer checking on the headstock face. The body has an original black finish. It has become hazy over time and there are small scuffs and tiny scratched scattered around the body. There is also some areas exposing the fullerplast undercoat on top of the wood grain and some buckle rash on the back. Under light you can see really nice lacquer checking around the entire body. Lastly there appears to be 2 small and circular paint touchups south of the  bridge. There is also an extremely faint outline of a rectangle around the 2 touch ups which makes me believe there was some kind of plate or tail piece here which was filled and touched up. It is difficult to see without shining a light on it and obviously doesn't affect much more of the guitar than adding character. Otherwise, Hardware shows regular aging and patina and truss rod functions perfectly and has no neck warps or humps, and the 3 bolt is secure and stable. Perfectly functioning instrument.

Authentication: This is tele is a 1978. The neck is all original dating to either 77' or 78', the neck code is difficult to read and looks to be (?745 2001) which is difficult to decipher. Its got an S8 serial number on the headstock face which dates it to either 77' or 78'.  Its got matching QA stamps to the body which indicates its original to the body.  The headstock face is more yellowed than the rest of the neck because fender had finished them with nitro due to poly's adverse reaction with the fender decal. The body is an early 78' body, its neck pocket is consistent with 78' pockets and its got extra grounding lugs in the bridge and control cavity which started being added by fender in 78'. The Potentiometers date to the 45th week of 76' which helps indicate that this tele was in the 77'-78' range. Based on this evidence this is believe to be a early 78' piece.

Electronics:
All original electronics except for bridge pickup. mostly original solder joints except the lugs for where bridge pickup was resoldered to. (neck 10.3k)(bridge 6.7k) Volumes and tones role 0-10 exponentially and theres absolutely no grounding or hum issues.
