Gibson Custom Shop Chuck Berry 70's ES-355

Holy Chuck, this baby is literally one of the best things Gibson has done, as a huge chuck berry fan, i'm so happy Gibson continued his legacy and created this beautiful guitar. Actually, far more than a guitar, this is a work of art, they recreated his 78' es 355 down to every ding and scratch, the checking is unreal, the finish is so sleek and gorgeous, the craftsmanship is actually unreal, this is a downright amazing guitar, i love it so much. It sounds so clean and the different settings on the varitone knob are sounds you've never heard before. The strings just pop when you play them, its so articulate and clean and when you want to get crazy, stomp on your pedal and you go straight to promised land. hehe. I only played this baby once I had to hear it play, otherwise its completely mint and played for about 15 minutes. Im a total vintage snob, but I gotta say Gibson is absolutely MURDERING the game right now. In 2050 people are gonna be like, no way is that the 2021 chuck berry reissue, dude thats so cool. This guitar was painstakingly crafted to replicate his beloved 1978 ES-355.

We proudly present to you the Chuck Berry 1970s ES-355.

To honor Chuck Berry’s legacy, we made sure every aspect of construction and appointments is historically correct, including aged gold hardware, a Maestro™ Vibrola™, Grover® tuners, a Varitone switch, and a classic Split Diamond headstock inlay. The Wine Red finish features Murphy Lab custom aging, giving it the look and feel of the original. Case candy includes a captain's hat, conduit bracket/finger holder (with instructions), and a certificate of authenticity. Only 100 guitars will be hand-made by the expert luthiers and craftspeople of the Gibson Custom Shop as part of this very special limited run."
