Gibson Les Paul custom 1977 Natural
Gibson Les Paul custom 1977 Natural
You're Looking at an all original and undisturbed Gibson Les Paul Custom in an original Natural finish with a beautiful ebony board on maple neck. If you're looking for a refreshing new look this combo will definitely do the trick. Gold plated hardware on a solid maple top with aged binding and black plastic matching with ebony is just so in. Luckily, This 77' did not participate in gibson's crossbanding infamously "pancake body" and has a solid slab of old mahogany that is resonant and super mid rangy even acoustically. Binding has aged all around into a beautiful cream color all the way up and around the headstock where you have a gorgeous split diamond mother of pearl inlay and a Gibson with no dot above the i. Mother of pearl block inlays on a solid ebony board with frets that have not been played alot.(70% life, ~0.38" height). The neck is a slim 60's taper neck that is a slim c with no shoulders, slim enough to really dig into that 12" radius ebony board and legato your way to heaven. Speaking of heaven, these norlin pat.no t-top pickups are no joke, dont even worry about the cleans, dime your amp, plug this baby in and you can kiss your day good bye. Super awesome sounding pickups that have a really strong and focused mid range with juicy highs and a tight bass. If you are thinking about getting a natural lp heres your ticket, grab it before its too late!
This piece has been fully setup with our "Gilded Treatment." This means instrument has been fully inspected, professionally photographed and documented along will a full deep cleaning of any residual grime and dust, pots are cleaned of debris and sprayed with contact cleaner to add a layer of cleaning and protection. Its amazing how clean pots and contacts bring so much tone back. Polished frets to allow you to "glide" over the fretboard. Dialed Nut Height with optimal slots and contact points with lubrication. Action and intonation is dead on and neck relief is perfect. The neck has absolutely no warps or humps and the truss rod turns perfectly with tons of room to turn for seasonal changes. Thank you for looking
You'll be shocked to find how good our pro setup is! A 100$ value free! big bends fretting out is a thing of the past, find out for yourself!
Condition: Truss rod cover is a repro! In Excellent Vintage Condition, Very little cosmetic "flaws." There is an area of buckle rash pictured on the back and one or two tiny impressions on the sides, top is pristine. The bottom around the bottom strap lock has some tiny dings scattered. The neck is beautifully preserved with no cosmetic flaws, some wear around the bindings from playing and frets show 70% of life left, ~0.37" in height.
Electronics:
All original pickups that date to 1977 and pots that date to 35th week of 1975. An interesting find where Gibson must have had 75' pots lying around and during assembly. solder joints are untouched perfect which definitely contribute to the powerful sound of these pickups. (neck 7.42k)(bridge 7.43k) Volumes and tones role 0-10 exponentially and theres no grounding or hum issues.
