Gibson Les Paul Standard Tobacco Sunburst 1979 (replaced tuners)

Here we have a 99% All original Gibson Les Paul Standard in a beautifully aged Tobacco Sunburst, which has replaced tuners and one replaced tone knob. All that aside, this hunk of solid mahogany boats completely original Pat No. Pickups and '79 pots that recall all the great Les Paul players. A beautiful 3 piece maple top covered in thin nitro that give the player a "close" feel to the instrument, unlike that goopy poly of todays guitars. This LP is not only an amazing all original player that keeps on giving back, but also provides a great investment in the vintage market. Les Pauls are a wonderful tool to have, they record great, cut through the mix, and the some of the best players. Original Fretless wonder frets allow incredible low action while the 24.75 scale length allows for easy bending and vibrato. Professionally leveled, setup, and cleaned, with a new fresh set of 10's on there, this beast is ready to rip.

Condition: Replaced Tuners, you can see the original tuners outline as well as holes that were filled. However, very good condition for a Les Paul thats obviously been played. you have no cracks or issues, just cosmetic dings from the likes of passionate players that put this baby to work. All bumps and bruises are clearly pictured, but the top really looks mint from a distance, nothing going on there, the back has some scratching and a ding that gives it character. A small incision in the pickup ring around the bridge pickup, this is from the removal of a stripped screw that was inhibiting the bridge pickup height adjustment, this has all been fixed. You have perfect action, leveled frets so no buzzing, dead straight neck with a fully functional truss rod. Beautifully setup guitar that plays as good as it looks.

Electronics:
Original Gibson T-Tops stamped 1979 as well as all original pots from 79. A previous owner had modded the wiring, this was restored with period correct capacitors and wiring. Absolutely no scratchy pots and volume and tone rolls to 10 linearly. Neck pickup is like the dark knight, smooth and righteous, while the bridge pickup unleashes mayhem and grit. These pickups put the p in pepper.
