TL:DR All original except tuners which required the tuner holes to be enlarged to fit. All else is original, there are no cracks, repairs, or issues, and the truss rod has never even been turned. Frets have 50% life and are original (the binding fret nibs are just barely still there)

Ladies and gentleman, I present to you an astonishing Gibson Sg Standard from 1970 in a well preserved and earthy walnut finish. Its in really amazing shape and the top of the body and headstock is basically mint. Its a transitional piece with a small volute, no made in usa logo, and trans tenon and a dotted i. This is such a classic example of what a vintage gibson is all about. It's all original except the tuners and it really just is one of those guitars that sound completely different from anything else you play. You have this beautiful earthy walnut finish painted on top of an old and dry mahogany body thats lost all its moisture content and rings like a bell. The original pickups and pots produce this sound that is so hard to describe but is not found from todays guitars. The neck position has this lush warm wall of sound that has the perfect amount of treble on top of the smooth bassy low end that is just so pleasant. The bridge pickup really dials in alot of treble and has this certain attack that just has a swell to it that is the classic sg crunchy swell sound.  Its extremely crisp and articulate and sounds transparent and saturated like you're already using a pedal. This sg standard has the perfect rounded C neck, its a perfect 60's neck not too hefty and not too thin starting at 0.87" and filling out to a thick 1.10" that fills your hand completely. its also got a narrow nut width which complements the thicker neck really well because you can still wrap your thumb all the way around and fully "control" the neck but the rounded C is felt in the entire palm. This sg really makes you play different and if I were getting gear for a studio I would most certainly have some sort of vintage sg in my arsenal because that combo of old slab mahogany and vintage pickups are unparalleled. Thanks

This piece has been fully setup with our "Gilded Treatment." This means instrument has been fully inspected, professionally photographed and documented along will a full deep cleaning of any residual grime and dust. Polished frets to allow you to "glide" over the fretboard. Dialed Nut Height with optimal slots and contact points with lubrication. Action and intonation is dead on and neck relief is perfect. The neck has absolutely no warps or humps and the truss rod turns perfectly with tons of room to turn for seasonal changes. Thank you for looking

You'll be shocked to find how good our pro setup is! A 100$ value free! big bends fretting out is a thing of the past, find out for yourself!

Condition: Very good to excellent condition. No cracks, breaks, or repairs. Tuner holes were enlarged to fit current tuners. Under light, there exists buckle rash. There are also swirlies and a couple scuffs on the back, and the lower right bought edge has some wear. There is a feelable scratch around the strap button on the back. There is one ding that is feel-able on the neck and a couple tiny pin sized ones that are basically non-existant. The back of the headstock shows some chips around the edges on the top of the peghead and the holes from the original tuners are exposed. Everything else is perfect.

Electronics: All original electronics with untouched solder joints, pots date to early 1970. Absolutely no scratchy pots or jumpy volume. Original Pat Sticker pickups
