PRS Ted McCarty SC245 10-top McCarty Sunburst 2009

Woah! You dont see these often! Here is PRS Ted McCarty SC245 with a hand selected 10-top in a beautiful McCarty Sunburst from 2009. This is has the classic Single Cut design with a hand selected curly maple top on top off a super light yet tightly packed Ribbed Mahogany body. You can get lost looking at the 3d curly maple top, but as soon as you flip it over you will drool. I mean the cherry color on the back is a deep red that just steals your attention and its so nice to know its there as you hold it. As soon as you plug this thing in you just want to dig in and push the limits. The Slab of mahogany rings like a bell and produces this warm mid range sound that is so sonically pleasing. This piece has sustain for days and looks unreal, even the binding is curly maple which you dont see below special wood libraries. The 57/08 Tm pickups are extremely touch responsive and when you dig into the strings you activate that bite and crunch that just makes you grind your teeth. But when you relax and roll back a bit, you unlock the creamy and smooth tones especially on the neck pickup. This piece feels amazing in your hand with the nitrocellulose top coat it feels familiar and close to home. The Neck is a wide fat shape reminiscent of the early gibsons, but definitely not a baseball bat, a little more chunkier than average though and good amount of shoulder. This makes it harder to tame the neck and but you want to try when you hold this thing because it takes you exactly where you are trying to go. The headstock is super cool with the TD design and flamed looking peghead face. This piece over all has a very mid range focused articulate sound with a wide fat neck, it really simulates a 50/60's gibson sound but has that prs technology and surreal look. Its also got that 24.5 scale length which actually accentuates different harmonics quite drastically, more than you might think. It sounds awesome, The wraparound bridge is solid nickel with tons of sustain as well and this guitar will really let you push the limits of your playing. Thanks for looking!
